About Peggy Hall

After suffering from years of shoulder tendinitis, Peggy was facing surgery and a long recovery out of the water. Thanks to her hubby's insistence to try yoga (yes, he got her into yoga!) Peggy discovered that not only did her shoulder heal but her surfing improved dramatically. Looking for a surf-specific yoga video but finding that nothing like that existed, Peggy set about to become certified in yoga so she could share the stoke of the life-changing benefits of the practice...and now, more than 10 years later, she has positively impacted thousands of surfers the world over who share her mantra, "Breathe - realx - focus - enjoy!"

"The moment of being on a wave is so fleeting -- yet so thrilling -- that you want to experience it again and again, no matter how many waves you catch!  Like surfing, yoga gives you a glimpse into what it is to be in that place of utter freedom – completely outside of the boundaries of time, constraints, obligations and expectations -- just powerful, alive, open and free!" ~ Peggy Hall, Yoga for Surfers Creator

YOGA Classes with Peggy Hall

"The calm steadiness of the senses... is called yoga"

"Yoga is not about mastering a series of poses," explains Peggy. "Yoga is about experiencing yourself in the pose so you can develop a sense of calm energy and focused awareness that you can then take into all areas of your life."

"When you learn to really live your yoga," says Peggy, "you begin to fully participate in life, experiencing all it has to offer -- fully awake, fully alive and eager to open yourself to all the gifts it has to offer, knowing you have the strength and courage to follow your dreams!"

All classes are currently held at Better Living Yoga in Aliso Viejo, CA

Tuesday: 10:30 am - 11:45 am

Thursday: 10:30 am - 11:45 am

Email Peggy for private or corporate classes and workshops

I feel that you offer so much of yourself in your practice as a teacher. You can tell that your message and feelings come from so deep within you and you share it with such grace and sweetness....and a big smile. Whenever I think of yoga now, I think of you and your inner radiance coming out and inspiring each of us to be mindful, quiet mind, and letting go. I look so forward to making yoga an important part of this next chapter of life. ~ Ronnie R.

In addition to receiving a Certificate in Yoga Studies from the University of California, Irvine, Peggy completed an advanced yoga teacher training program at Sacred Movement Yoga Studio in Santa Monica, California.

Peggy's classes are an inspiring blend of various styles of hatha yoga. With her upbeat, positive and encouraging attitude, Peggy has a way of making the most challenging poses accessible to all.

Exploring beyond traditional boundaries, Peggy teaches unique, innovative moves that have a way of hitting just the right spot. With Peggy, you'll learn something new in every single class. She draws inspiration from the very essence of life itself!

I have developed a fluid style of "feel-good" yoga that creates energy and well-being so you feel alive, alert, awake and aware -- full of cheerful curiosity and positive expectations to meet each experience as a joyful expression of life.

Every class is different, but they have the common theme of “experiencing” the pose rather than trying to “achieve” the pose.

Yoga teaches us to practice with integrity and compassion, allowing the body to open rather than forcing it to. In this way, we develop patience and fortitude and learn to carry those qualities with us in our daily lives!
